Iron Bell was formed in 2015 when Tec (keys) and Roy (guitar) realised that after playing covers in various bands together over many years, they found the Floyd tracks the most satisfying to play. Over the next few years they made it their mission to seek out other musicians who shared their vision and appreciation of all things Floyd and set out to play a few gigs as a six-piece band.
The last two years have seen the show and the performance develop significantly, introducing visuals, lights and the addition of some hugely talented backing vocalists, to replicate that spectacular Pink Floyd live sound.
Because that is what brought Iron Bell to where they are, to recreate that sense of anticipation and the pure, emotional, dynamic atmosphere that are the essential elements of a Pink Floyd performance. Technology makes almost anything possible, including the recreation of the massive touring productions that Floyd were famous for. Iron Bell didn’t want to do that, preferring to make the music the centrepiece. Yes, the lighting and visuals are a really important part of the experience and you will see plenty of that but perhaps more importantly, they are revisiting an earlier time, when to be immersed in the music was all that mattered…..so come along and share the experience, and you’ll find it still is…….
